experience about Banking Ombudsman is not that bad so far. May be

As the Council administers and pays for it; the IPs complaints are not attended to and the cajoling by IRDA directors even get ignored.It has fallen in bureaucratic rut. And when the Regulatory Authority itself ,fails to REGULATE then who will listen to the public grievances ?
In this chaotic scenario , we are all at the Mercy of this rotten system. We have got UMPTEEN SCHEMES on PAPER but NO DELIVERANCE.

My comments on issues raised by Siroyaji:
I have been shouting on top of my voice how all these
institutions are headed by corrupt, inefficient, rogues and chamachas who go to
various ministries and get the appointments done, Read my group:

Who will give u justice: be it bank, insurance, telecom, BMC,
Power houses etc:
All chairmen are appointed by govt (govt means more of
bureaucrats and less of politicians) and If u have grievance against their organizations
u go to Ombudsman who is appointed by govt. Then u go to consumer courts where
judges r appointed by govt. U go to RBI, IRDA, TRAI, DOT,MERC etc respectively
they are appointed by govt, u go to insurance council, advisory boards they too
r appointed by govt. How do u expect justice to common man where all thieves
have appointed their langotias/ hand in glove people in key posts? CBI and RAW (Has
RAW ever achieved against Pak, China etc , never as they r used for finishing political rivals and not enemies)
works to the tune of their Aka’s/ master’s who share the booty and allow anarchy
by their stooges.
No honest can reach these high posts.
Insurance council has 14 members. All r chairman of some
insurance co. or other. How do u ( u means masses/ Janata) expect good plans
and policies. So IRDA and council works only in favor of Insurers, Brokers, TPA's
etc. and they are run by relatives of bureaucrats, politicians, mafias or those
who have bribed them heavily. That is why U never get any justice or any human/
sensitive men in these positions. The more one is lustier, greedier, manipulator
the more the chances that u rise in govt or in politics. I have been fighting
and raising these issues day in day out for 25 yrs (read my hundreds of mails
on my yahoo groups and blog as given below) but Annaji has given voice to it.
U will find that on regular basis prices of milk, auto, taxi,
PUC booths, towing charges (minus the tax component),school fees, bank charges,
electricity charges, fuel charges, insurance premium, college fees, hospital
charges, building activity(builders)
steeply going up??? why ??? Because all these r mainly controlled by bureaucrats,
politicians, mafias. In other fields like old rent there is no increase in last
60 years. Why??? Because these old buildings are not owned by present time
politicians, bureaucrats, Judges, mafias. Whereas new lease rent is sky high
and allowed to go up and further up to black holes as new flats and office
premises are owned by who’s who of govt bought with Adarsh type scams or ghotalas.
A ;andlord of rent act affected buildings cannot buy a two days milk from the rent received
from my 7 tenants. Rather they have to
borrow funds to maintain ( bare minimum) these buildings, to pay ever
increasing taxes of BMC ( so that blood sucker Sharad Rao can feed inefficient
and most corrupt BMC staff and its corporators who have reached city to
shambles where we see falling buildings, chok a block roads with pot holes,
badly managed and shamelessly poorly performing BMC schools,hospitals and
gardens and buses and overflowing and stinking gutters and garbage bins, flooding every year,
non potable water that too supplied for an hour or two, traffic jams, un-walkable
footpaths etc etc. Still they will win again in the name of Marathi Manus
because Indian brains stop working after it is
incited in the name of language,
religion or community and are willing to give even life so where is a prolem in
living like a stray dog with no dignity in dumps where as each IPS,IRS,IAS,
secretaries, commissioners, collectors have crores invested in prime property.
Imagine a bogus CBI man was caught who owned 30 KG Gold then imagine the real
ones worth. So who will care for your Grievances??
Alok suggests: 1. There must be three bench Ombudsman where
one person is appointed by govt and rest two are from agents and customers.
They should change ever year as otherwise they too will become corrupt.
All inquires and commissions while hearing and giving judgments
must sit in open, their hearing must be video recorded, and all orders must be
passed in 30days (I am giving very long period). However presently No ombudsman
gives orders for months and no courts give orders for years.
2. Every 1 st and 3 rd Monday post lunch a citizen durbar be
made must at every branch, police station, depot, level , including to be held
by Registrar of courts etc. Say every PIO level and then onwards. This will reduce the harassment as one does
not have to run pillar to post and can get redressal at very first point of red
tape.
By the way abt 20 yrs back I had written humorous but sarcastic
letter to the then Municipal commissioner on non performing BMC. The letter
should win a noble (I am not so cheap to praise myself but the letter is
extraordinary )as what I said in that letter 2 decades ago is still true and
nothing has changed where as every other city has changed worldwide. Thanks to
saffronists for keeping our city behind as our tricolor leaders have kept us
suffering, slogging and backward at state and national level. If anyone can
help me in getting that letter typing on PC then I can share the same with u
all. I have no time personally to do so and of course no computer literate
staff is with me who can do so for me. Awaiting reply (Pl. note a person good
on PC can retype and reproduce that letter in just 30 minutes.
If all of us had joined some decades back like we did on Annaji’s
call then we would have been much ahead of most other countries in the world.
