Re: 7,000 crore rupee mobile phone for below poverty line people

1. Handsets worth Rs 1500cr will be bought and govt will pay 7000 cr . The rest will go for elections of 2013-14.
2. The handsets will be bought from China of low qualitry which will be health hazard. So China will then sell cheap generics too.
3. The poor will hv to pay repeatedly on repairs of these instruments and waste lot of money.
4. When in city like Mumbai for Nokia and Samsung the two  leading brands, we r harrassed, made to sit for hours at their service centers located at far away places and places where ther r no parking, no loo no water etc , they only work till 5 pm and on Mon to Friday where as they sell till 10 pm and all 7 days then can u imagine what will be condition of these poor, illetrate customers who will be looted by repaireres.
5. Half of these free stuff will come out in grey market and will get sold in black like other rationed material and govt officials and ministers will make money.
6. Insted govt must spend this on eduaction, health , sanitation and computerising police and courts who are very backward state.....

Alok

Can someone bring somestay order on this announced loot....

    Dear Alok ji
Thanks for sharing important info about our contry.
How funny is that govt. will distribute mobile while poor people need bread.
More than 25% people do not have bread, house, health facility, the basic requirement of people but govt is going to distribtue mobile which will be a door of permanent expenses.
i remember a news of last year that some people were eating leaves and trees in Orissa due to poverty.
did the deaf people (leaders) hear this news?
    Is not funny?
is there any logic behind this decision?
    what happening in this country.
We all indian must oppose this decison and demand for our basic requirement ( quality of education, house, employment, health facility etc.) but not mobile. Thanks

instead better provide free public phones in villages.
Keep the tract of compalints made by them using the phones and try t resolve the same.
Be BSNL like comapny's subsidary ready to provide low cost wi fi connection with in the village and farmes. and get the same net work linked to make calls to their relatves i city - if they wish against payment like any other std calls-
Communication facilities can change rural life when infrstructure like road is lacking. provided Govermemnt Machinary responds to calls in time - communication wil be great help if used properly.
yes also fell -free instruments and free talk time are gimicks to side tract money directly Rajivji was saying 15 paise reaches to benificary but these ways not even .015 % will reach to actual benenficiary and , one who will receive will not be in position to utilise..
Communication - video conference of officers - periodically has worke well in Gujarat.
Goverment was able to reach and monitor their officers and actula beneficiaries.
Why Govrment promotes the GSM system when low cast , low radiation wi fi , CDMA systems are possible and used well in these country . RELIANE AND TATA works well in CDMA, so many university compleaxes are usinf wi fi . Who promotes GSM ? and why ? Again a scam by it self ? god knows?

Concerned about this irrational loot of public money. Pondering to take up the issue. govt. says it cannot give minimum wages in NREGA and they have money for this mobile sets. Unable to guess how will it benefit the poors. these sets will be resold by them. they will have to recharge which will increase their expenses cutting into basic nutrition etc.
