My visit to seven hills hospital

I had been to seven hills on last saturday ( first time I had come on inaguration day) for some of tests for my daddy (Shri B L Tholiya).

 

here r my observations:

1. Very good, beautiful and big with all latest equipments and technology.
2. Nice staff but untrained so they had lot of difficulty in feeding required detail for billing etc
3. It is far inside so if u want more clients from far places in Mumbai then find a architect/ town planner who will study and suggest some ways to to reach fast JVLR so one can reach w.e. highway fast.etcetc.
4. Power failure was frequent I dont know why?? Is it MSEB supply??
5. Coming there is ok as u have good latest machines but merely to come to collect report? Impossible to travel.U can charge Rs. 10 or so and courier or email to client who prefer so.Being modern hospital u can offer to email to docs too so then can act faster.
6. I had requested my daddys xray report to be emailed but same has not been done. It was out of way request but they had agreed on OPD counter on understanding my difficulties.
7. I think charging Rs 80/- for registration for OPD client who have come only for test  is not fair. And charging after  10 days Rs 30/- is unfair.
8. Rather u should encourage more and more clients looking for quality diagnostics. That is a market by itself.
9. Being huge proper arrow / sinages r required.But on the whole it was a great expirience and is project of pride in our deteriorating city.
10. Last word of caution: ( chote muh badi baat): Have cost audit / control/ anti wastage team as wastages will eat away funds and then it will be no more reasonably priced as it is now.

The slave Alok writes all this for 2 decade and now CM says same:   In my life I had never to bribe a politicians. But at various stages whether right or wrong , I had to bribe bureacrats , court staff ( Advocates clerk says to even get order copy he has to bribe), to tax authorities ( as our CA says he has to bribe to even get rightful refunds), to plumbing contractor ( he says he has to bribe BMC sanctioning authorities) , etc etc list goes on.Architect says unless I bribe in lacs ur building proposal will never see a light of day and file will remain in BMC staffs drawer. Hence I have bribed all my life time from honestly earned money the govt servants and even privates like bankers, purchasers, etc etc..   But never a politician.Definitely they take bribe from hoteliers, builders, land sharks, mafias, etc etc. . But as a common man I have never bribed them. have you??? If u have that means you wanted some illegal favour. But govt officials, courts, police have your neck in their hand and they can suffocate you on every step.   My expirience is even if u r very close to a big politicians or u bribe him but without bribing the concerned officer ur file will not move an inch. But if u know a peon of concerned office then he will get ur work done ( even the most difficult) but for a price.   Netas/ leaders are available in their offices , u can chase them, they r in streets but bureacrats cabin u cant get in.   U r treated like a slave/ made to stand for hours like a dog before a authority but the politician.   Politicians meant to do lot for u but file gets stuck in red tape. I m witness to this.     Such powerful person like Amitabha Bachan gave up politics saying govt officials just do not cooperate. He chose to file libel suit in England and not in India because he said that not even his third generation will get justice in India . He was right Lo!! he got justice from England in a year.   My friend took a letter of Shri Murli Deora to Chartubhuj Narsi and his letter was thrown. Then same person bribed some clerk in education dept and call came from same school welcoming him for admition without even donation ( edu dept rules over all edu institution).   List goes on and we only blame politicians. Rather all of us abuse  politicians , level allegations against them as we fear not him.If we  do same thing against  a then court will put us behind bar for insulting court) , u cant say a word against police ( they will lift u and kill u with boots, belts, make u drink urine, put bamboo in ur anus and then throw dead bosy saying u have committed suicide), a govt official can do much worst ( our respected RTI activist were put behind bars by One insane Joshi a govt official for just singing Natinal anthem in his cabin and police acted swiftly to this Joshi the inhuman but police  never reachs a place of crime / rape etc ). U can block motorcade of a politician, shout abuses against even a PM, CM Soniaji, Rahul, Atalji etc and they wont say  a word but try do that against DM, Collector , commissioner and ur family will never see ur face again ) ....     ANd u call urself independant??????? Free????? I celebrate 26th Jan as a new era of slavery ( British rule ended and Bureacart rule started)...     Will ever media give u clear picture as I am giving???? Never. They r sold out/ coward and cheap. I have recd response from DCP against my mail asking me to further take up matter with full details.

 

I dont want to escalate same and therefore I have been running piller to post in your corridors only. But all in vain.

 

Let me clear my stand:

 

1.To defraud you the unauthorised hotelwala has talen one residential terriff connection in one Babusingh Bhatis name.

 

2. There is no such babusingh bhati in my property.

 

3. That simply means this connection is given without sufficient documents.

 

4. I am sure the then management and present management must not be aware of all this as it is impossible to chk each and every file.Hence pardonable.

 

5. But what is not pardonable is slackness/ evasiveness/ lack of transperancy/evading taking steps which r ought to be taken on serious repeated complaint  to highest of present management.

 

6. Hence either you have to satisfy me by giving me access  to documents to either satisfy that you have continued with connection after due to diligiance or you have to disconnect the line after giving due notice to the subscriber.

 

7. If you fail to take corrective steps in 15 days then I shall be forced to ( unwillingly and hesitatingly ) approach law and order machinary which is already over burdened and sane / responsible and proactive can ensure that matters are settled amicably without further burdening them. Here I do realise that your company is part of very big gigantic empire which has reach in top of system in India hence do not fear law / law guardians ( police and courts) but pl. note Constitution of India guarantees me even a poor, ordinary lay man equal rights and I shall exercise them.You will be able to create hurdles, delays and put bigger  hole in my already torn pocket but I know for sure that  even a lay man can rise to fight for his right against an empire be it fortune 500 co with all the influence.

I was a hapless/ helpless guy all these my life till RTI was introduced. No govt dept was willing to act,respond,reply and I was living like a slave.

 

My mobile was pick pocketed in bus in june 2010. Same day I lodged a police complaint. Like all these yrs no one was in the mood to act. I followed twice by visit and twice by letter, then I registered with Mumbai police commissioners web site. As was happening since Independence nothing happened. Commissioner is very busy serveing his Akas so a further promotions, appointment after retirement on imp. posts and allottment of land/ flats keep happeneing. All top brass in our system want to serve only builders,hotelieres, mafias , some netas who can influence allottments etc etc.

 

So I filed after 5 months of follow up a RTI application abt my mobile and several other aspects of handling mobile complaints. And lo on 24/12/10 police called me that my mobile has been found and that come and collect.To save the thief ( Javed Hakim Shaikh mobile no. 9869903731) they closed the matter as lost and found instead of making a criminal case of theft against Javed Hakim.I played cool and innocent and did not press for further action as going to Indian court is like going to hell.

 

My 3G mobile with  5 MP camera (used for taking nasty lapses of govt officials) and office features were of no use to this guy who could have returend a peice for hefty tip/ baksish if he was really honest.He has totally spoilt the pc and Nokia yesterday quoted me Rs 2500/- for repairs.Ofcourse I have given for Rs. 900/- for repairs to a small timer outside.

 

So, first time I cud get a police to act and get some result is all due to RTI. Shree Shree Shree RTI you have made me a citizen from a slave. RTI is some thing which even President Obama referred to as great virtue of modern India.

As a gratitude I will reserve Rs. 2500/- to spend on protecting RTI and protecting my rights got since year 2005.

 

I offer my place free for meeting ( AC and suitable for 60 seats) to RTI activists with tea and biscuits from my side. RTI activists you are my Durga. I will never worship Durga idol but RTI act and RTI activists who fight devils and give me a lay man like me with no voice a freedom.

Saving our cities from haphazard construction

There are blatant violations of Heritage laws and Coastal Zone Regulations throughout the country, including in Mumbai.

 

For instance, in Mumbai, builders often get permissions using the Development Control Regulations of 1967, even though the D.C. Regulations of 1991 are the applicable ones.

 

Moreover, many amendments, deletions and additions to the rules are introduced by the builders through government notifications that are not publicised or even available for suggestions and objections before consideration by government. The passed notifications are not even put up on government websites (e.g.: MCGM's) even ages after being passed, despite this being explicitly required under the RTI Act. Similarly, the notifications are not even publicised through newspaper advertisements, which are otherwise, on a daily basis, full of irrelevant government tender announcements.

 

Even when a blatant violation starts happening in front of our eyes (e.g. as is happening currently on Marine Drive in Mumbai), it is difficult for ordinary citizens to sift through and understand the voluminous and complex construction laws to try and figure out what the various violations are. By the time citizens figure out the illegalities of the issue, construction has been on continuously on the ground, and the illegal building comes up. All such illegal constructions are then 'regularised' in India, as no one has the guts to demolish them.

 

Since most of such projects involve powerful people such as builders, politicians and even bureaucrats, they often muzzle the media which buckle due to political pressure, social contacts, advertising revenues, and private treaties. Thus even investigative journalists who uncover such stories are unable to publicise them .

 

We thus wish to compile a list of organisations and individuals who work in the area of heritage, coastal regulation, and town planning, so that citizens and citizen groups can contact them for advice. Please email us your name, location and contact details if you fit into these categories.
